Fond memories of a cousin, neighbor and friend. Edward was always there to help, lend a hand and a smile. His positive outlook and generosity appreciated and will be remembered always. Thoughts and prayers to Jane and the family.

I have so many positive memories of Ed from the time I was a little kid visiting Uncle Nugent and Aunt Jean right up until my time at home last year. Ed always had a joke, a funny comment, or observation to share. One of my earliest memories of Ed was when I was probably in grade one or two. I was walking to Church Street School, it had snowed heavily and the snow banks were well above my head. As we were walking down the street someone picked me up from behind and threw me into a snowbank. Being short, and dressed in snow gear, I was like a turtle unable to get back on my feet. Two arms came out of nowhere and put me back on the sidewalk, the arms were attached to Edward. I was never sure but always wondered if perhaps those two arms were also the ones that put me in the snowbank!
Ed's life has continued to be an example of helping others just like helping me out of the snowbank. Whether it was his work, the fire department, or family he was someone that was always dependable. Over the years as family members needed help, Ed was the first one on the scene offering assistance, suggestions, and support. I will always remember his help and kind words over the years. You will not be forgotten.❤

The Ferguson family , beginning with Nugent, was an important part of my late husband's life from the time he opened his law practice in town. I know that he would be sad to hear of Ed's death. Please accept my sympathies and know that your family is strong and supportive.

Jane, We are so very sorry to hear this news (was just talking to him recently on the phone and I had no idea he was not well). Eddy was the most easy going, pleasant business man I had the pleasure of dealing with over the years through Eastern Sign Print. Eddy was one of a kind and so easy to like, he will be missed by so many. Our heartfelt condolences to you and the family.
