Dear Nancy, Debbie, Alan, and Glen,
I have been saddened since hearing of my Aunt Lorna’s passing, yet at the same time I feel so very blessed to have had her in my life. I have so many fond memories, going away back to when I was just a little girl. She lived a long and very full life and until now was the last direct family connection to my mother. She was an inspiration as her mind remained sharp and her adventurous spirit never wained. Not many her age could handle being on Facebook and keeping up to date with nieces and nephews and their families. She will be missed, but we will always have our memories of her time with us. My sincere condolences to all of you and your families. Your mother, grandmother , great grandmother was a very special lady.
With Love and hugs,
Trudy and Winston

Dear Nancy, Deb, Alan, Glen and the rest of the family,
Lorna was a very special woman. I’m the baby in the photo here, and growing up I always called her Nana Lorna. I never knew her as anything different. She was the most patient, compassionate, thoughtful, and kind-hearted lady. She never stopped telling me how proud she was of me, how much I reminded her of my mom, and how she’d be proud of me as well. She did so much for my Papa, and brought such a beautiful light to Murray’s life. She never stopped shining that light. The last time I saw Lorna was a couple of years ago, when I was visiting Nova Scotia with my dad George. We got lunch together, reflected on the time that had passed. She looked well, but I could see how the years had passed since I was little. God it made me so happy to see her. She mentioned that she may come to Ottawa to visit, I wish I could’ve seen her one last time. She brought me the love I needed when I needed it, may her beautiful soul rest in peace. Wishing you well and may you find peace in this time. Lots of love, The Mann Family - written by Jess, daughter of George and Pam

It was always such a pleasure to see her and talk to her. She was a lovely person. She always kept me in touch with that was going on with Cheryl. She was very proud of her. What a wonderful woman to have known. She was always so welcoming to us as kids and young adults when we would visit. I also remember that we could pop in unannounced and it was never a problem with her. She has left quite a legacy of caring, compassion and genuine interest in all of her children's friends. Cherish your memories.
