Obituary of Anne Marie Purvis
Anne Marie Purvis of Plymouth, formerly of Westville, NS, passed away peacefully at Glen Haven Manor on April 5th, 2025, surrounded it by her loving family.
Anne grew up in the North End of New Glasgow and as an adult worked at Dominion grocery store, Sears, and Wearwell Garments.
She enjoyed baking for the Holy Name Parish CWL and the Plymouth Fire Department Women’s Auxiliary. Anne enjoyed sewing, crafts, dancing, and most of all, spending time with her grandchildren.
Anne is survived by and will be dearly missed by her loving partner Michael Conway, her daughter Jacqueline Schnare (Kevin), son Bernie Purvis (Valerie), and grandchildren Justine, Adam, Oliver, Madeline, Thomas, Abby, and Liam; sisters Ruth Bezanson (Ron), Margo Coulter (Dale) and Linda Russell (Bud).
Anne was predeceased by her parents Albert and Helen (Fennell) Hardy; brothers Albert Jr., Hugh; and a sister Jean.
Anne’s family would like to express our heartfelt thanks to the staff of Glen Haven Manor for their care and compassion.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 7th from 6-8 pm in Eagles Funeral Home, Westville, NS. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday April 8th, at 11 am in Eagles Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dr. Glen Matheson officiating. Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery, New Glasgow with a reception to follow at the Plymouth Fire Hall.
Donations in Anne’s Memory can be made to the Alzheimer’s Society, or a charity of your choice.
