Obituary of Lois Elizabeth Anne Brown

It is with heavy hearts we announce the death of Lois Elizabeth Anne Brown, 62 of Westville, who passed away on April 16 2025 with her family by her side, after fighting a 16 week battle with brain cancer.

Born in New Glasgow on January 15, 1963, she was the eldest daughter of the late Patrick "Paddy" and Isabell Duggan.

Lois was an administrator working with in the Westville Medical Clinic to start her career then moving to the Dartmouth Medical Clinic for a few years before raising her children then moving back home to the Westville Medical Clinic.

A loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Lois is survived, by her husband of 35 years, Delbert; Special sister-in-law Debbie; daughter Catie (Johnathon) and son Greg (Emma); six grandchildren who she loved more than anything; David, Katrina, Ellie-May, Layla, Avery and Bella. She is also survived by sister Audrey (Kenny) Crews, Westville; brothers, David (Stephanie) Duggan, New Glasgow; Cyril (Sherri) Duggan, Waterville; Richard "Doc" (Patricia) Duggan, Port Hawkesbury, along with many nieces, nephews and friends.

Special thanks to friends Karen, Donna and Carla for their frequent visits while mom was ill. Special thanks to her CCA Melissa Dunn, palliative care team and VON, mom always looked forward to your visits.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday April 23rd at the Eagles Funeral Home from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. The Funeral Service will be held at 11am on Thursday April 24th at The Church of the Holy Name, Westville with Fr. Peter MacDonald Presiding. A reception will follow in the Church Hall.
