Obituary of Wanda Darlene Carson

Wanda Darlene Carson of Plymouth, Nova Scotia passed away peacefully on May 3, 2025 at the age of 62. 

Wanda was born on July 19, 1962 and raised in Pictou County. During her school years in Stellarton, Wanda made many life-long friends. 

In 1984 Wanda married her husband Mark, and together they shared over 40 years of love and happiness, strength and resilience, and were true partners in life in all ways.

Wanda’s warm, welcoming smile and her infectious laughterwere treasured by her family and friends. She made the lives of those around her brighter and was quick to offer words of kindness and encouragement. Wanda had unwavering common-sense, and shared this with many who sought out her wise advice. 

With grace, compassion and empathy, Wanda made a lasting impression on the many people she greeted during her working years at the Peter Pan Motel, Mother’s Place, and the Aberdeen Hospital.

Wanda exemplified style and class, and she was a truly beautiful person, both inside and out. 

After retiring from work, Wanda loved spending time with her grandchildren and taking long drives with Mark as they searched for the best fish & chips in Nova Scotia. 

Wanda is survived by her loving husband Mark; her children Danielle Carson and David (Evelyn) Carson; cherished grandchildren Elle MacPherson and Penelope, Lily, and Madelyn Carson; mother Marie Royles; sister Kim (Donnie Gammon) Royles, and brother Glenn Royles. Wanda was preceded in death by her father Warren Royles. 

In accordance with Wanda’s wishes no visitation or services will be held. Tributes, words of comfort, and memories of Wanda may be shared with the family.
