Obituary of Doris May Weagle

Doris May Weagle, 91, formally from Pleasant Valley, NS, passed away May 20, 2025 at Shiretown Nursing Home, Pictou.
She was the daughter of the late Frank and Clara ( Sutherland) Weagle, Pleasant Valley and spent the majority of her life working on the family farm and being a devoted caregiver to her parents and brother Carl. She was a member of the Middle River Presbyterian Church, Rocklin.
Doris had a gift of baking, pies and squares being her specialty and would often bake for neighbors, family, weddings and community functions, (even the bear!) She enjoyed Thursday evening tv bingo, parades, horse racing, listening to country and fiddle music and her getaways with Jayne and Arnold within the Atlantic Provinces. She loved a good cup of tea and always had a table spread with goodies to go along with the tea for any visitor that dropped in.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by brother Carl, sister Margaret (Bud/Daniel) MacDonald, sister in law Mildred Weagle, niece Joyce Rae and a niece in infancy.
Surviving family are brother Doug (June) Weagle, Trenton, nephews Scott (Ethel) MacDonald, Newtown; Kenneth (Toby) MacDonald, Merigomish; nieces Elaine MacDonald, New Glasgow; Jayne (Arnold) Greene, New Glasgow as well as many grand and great grand nieces and nephews.
There will be no visitation. Funeral service will be held on Sunday, May 25th at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville at 3:30 pm. Interment in Forest Hill Cemetery, Pleasant Valley.
