Obituary of John Boates

John William Joseph Boates, of Central West River, NS passed away on June 13,2025 in the Aberdeen Hospital with family by his side. Born Feb. 1, 1951 he was a son of the late Joseph and Christina (Cameron) Boates.

John enjoyed hunting and fishing and just being outside. His family was the most important thing to him.

He is survived by his wife Charlotte (Langille), children Joey (Tracey), Kevin (April), Tanya (Robert), Mike (Jamie); grandchildren Taya (Nehalem), Adrianna, Hailey (Brennon); sisters Shelia, Josephine, (Cameron); special nephew Brenton along with many nieces, nephews and extended family.

He was predeceased by both his parents; brother-in-law Brenton Daley; grandson Kaiden.

John is under the care of Eagles Funeral Home, Westville with visitation from 1-2 pm on Wednesday, June 18, 2025 with funeral service to follow at 2 pm with Rev. Charles McPherson officiating. No flowers by request.
