Obituary of Gloria Amelia Crawford
With heavy hearts we sadly share that our mother Gloria Amelia Crawford (Wilson) suddenly passed away in her home at the age of 79.
Born in New Glasgow she was a daughter of the late Frank and Kathleen (Rice) Wilson. Gloria married her love, Carl Crawford in 1965 and they moved to Union center where they raised there family of four.
Gloria was a memeber of The Royal Canadian Legion Branch #35 Westville. She worked for Proudfoots in her younger years and later did various jobs from home. Nothing that involved driving.
Gloria loved to socialize, enjoyed company, staying up later listening to country classics and Elvis. She loved flowers, good food, and her dogs. Especially her loyal companion Chloe, who crosssed the rainbow bridge a few years ago.
Gloria will be very sadly missed by her sons, Steven (Wayne), Robbie (Kim), daughters; Gloria (Dan) Helli, Cathy (Tim). Grandchildren; Diana, Melissa, Kelley, Codie, Kori-Ann, Cassidy and Cole. Great Grand children; Teenah-Lynn, Scarlett, Olivia, Ellie-Mae, Grayson, Sierra, Raelynn and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Carl Crawford, siblings; Sharon Logan, Isabelle Whynott, Richard Wilson, John Henry Wilson.
Very special thank you to moms VON caretakers who were also her friends, she adored you. Also to her good friend and helper Karen Cullen.
Visitation will be at Eagles Funeral Home Westville, Thursday July 24 from 7pm to 9pm. Funeral will be Friday July 25th at 2 pm from Eagles Funeral Home. Burial will follow at MacLeod Cemetery Foxbrook.
One final Cheers Mom, forever in our hearts. I love you
