Obituary of Margaret Ann Silver
Margaret Ann (Langille) Silver, age 90, of Dartmouth, formerly Mount William.
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Mom and Gramma on July 26, 2025 at Ocean View Continuing Care Centre in Eastern Passage following a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's.
Born in Stellarton, N.S. on August 5th, 1934, she was the Daughter of Josephine Kennedy and Victor Langille. Mom loved a good cup of tea, growing flowers, and caring for the wayward animals that found their way into her home. She was an avid reader and a lifelong learner, taking typing, sewing, and painting courses to name a few. She learned to swim as an adult, played softball, and earned several belts in Karate. She returned to school in her 40s to become a CNA and scored top marks in Canada on her National Certification Exam. She was employed at Dartmouth General Hospital. She also loved music and dancing and may have won a twisting contest or two in her day...
She will be deeply missed by Daughter Brenda, Son Robert (Audrey), Grandchildren - Jason(Aimee), Kelly, Brian, and Scott (Julia), and Great Grandchildren - Elliot and Felix. She is survived by Sisters - Helen, Alice (Vernon), Joan, and Carolyn.
Margaret was predeceased by Gordon, her beloved Husband of 75 years, and Sisters - Shirley, Jackie, and Audrey.
She is resting at Eagles' Funeral Home -1611 North Main St., Westville, N.S. Visitation from 10-11 am on Friday, August 1st, with the funeral service to follow at 11 with Reverend Gail Murdock officiating. Reception to follow at Eagles. Burial will then take place at Heatherdale Memorial Gardens, Sylvester.
Special thanks to Staff at Ocean View for the loving, compassionate care they gave Mom during her stay there. Special mention to her hair stylist(s) for allowing her to model their many creations. We consider you Extended Family that will forever hold a special place in our hearts.
