Obituary of Lloyd Wilfred Salter

Lloyd Wilfred Salter, age 55, of Pleasent Valley passed away peacefully on Sunday August 3, 2025, at the Palliative Care Unit of the Aberdeen Hospital.

Lloyd was born in New Glasgow on August 21,1969 to the late Joan Cameron (Chessnut) and Henry Salter.

He worked at Scotsburn Lumber for many years before having to take time off due to illness.  He was happiest on a warm summer day riding his motorcycle.

Lloyd fought a long battle with cancer and spent the last 7 months in palliative care.  His strength and determination was admired by all who helped him along the way. 

He is survived by his daughter Jamie (David), great grand-daughter Remi Joan as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. 

The family would like to acknowledge the support, kindness and compassion from all the staff on the Palliative Care Unit as well as Palliative Home Support. 

Cremation has taken place. As per Lloyd's wishes, there will be no visitation or memorial service. A graveside service will take place at Forest Hills Cemetary on Salter Road August 22nd at 2pm.
