Obituary of Tracy Lynn Breen

It is with great sadness that the family of Tracy Lynn Breen announce her sudden passing on August 10, 2025.

She was born May 21st, 1971 in Antigonish to Marion and the late Gilbert DeCoste.  Tracy resided in New Glasgow and is survived by her husband Mark, daughter Hannah- Jane (Rob), grandson Sebastian, all of New Glasgow, brother Christopher (Crystal) and godson Gavin of Sundre, Alberta; many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Tracy was predeceased by her father Gilbert, maternal grandparents Boniface and Irene Breen, paternal grandparents Sylvester and Lillian DeCoste, cousin Brandon and many aunts and uncles.

Tracy was a kind and gentle soul with a big heart and was always there with a helping hand.  She started work with L'Arche, Cape Breton and continued her work at HCRS for over thirty years and then with Nova Scotia Housing Authority.  Tracy was loved by all, loved to travel with her friends, reading, telling stories, BBQ's, and spending time with her family, especially the love of her life, her grandson Sebastian.

A special thank you to Rachael and Rob for their assistance and Const. David Fulton for his kindness and support.  Tracy will be dearly missed by all her family friends and co-workers.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00pm on Monday, August 18th, 2025 at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville.  Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, August 19th at 11:00am at Holy Name Roman Catholic Church, Westville.  Burial will be in St. Paul's Parish Cemetery, Havre Boucher.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Special Olympics Pictou County or Holy Name CWL.
