Obituary of Sharon Ann Ward
With profound sadness we announce the passing of a my beloved mother, who was also a daughter, sister, aunt, grandmother and friend. Peacefully surrounded by family at the Aberdeen hospital after a lengthy battle of chronic health issues. Mom was born March 14th 1970 in Stellarton by Beverly and Eddy Ward.
Mom was a lover of all who crossed her path, and a fighter of every battle that came her way. Mom thrived and found most joy in the time she spent with her grandchildren, Nevaeh, Kohen and Daxton. They were the light of her life, and what kept her fight as long as it was.
Mom spend her early years in odd jobs, but never stopped talking about the friends she made over the years at ICT in New Glasgow. Before mom's health declined, she loved spending her days sitting at Stellarton Tim Hortons with friends, chatting over coffee. Mom was a person devoted to putting everyone first, she lived very minimal life but her love was strong and pure.
Mom is predeceased by her father John "Eddy" Ward, brother Darren Ward. Maternal grandparents, Wilfred and Edwina Heighton. Aunt Brenda(Cyril), Uncle Terry and his wife Gene . Paternal grandparents Sarah and Albert Ward. Aunt Ruthie & husband Bert. Uncles Jimmy & wife Jean., Leonard and wife Dorothy. Mom is survived by her mother Beverley. Siblings John, Karen, Natasha(Steve). Daughter Tracey(Davey), Neice LaKeisha. Grandchildren, Nevaeh, Kohen and Daxton. Several cousins. Companion and best friend, Lucy her cat. Mom's neighbour Virginia, who wasn't just a neighbour but became family and good friend John.
A huge thank you to 4th floor and ICU staff. Particularly Dana in ICU, Dr. MacDougall and all doctors who have seen and helped with moms care over the years. Also VON for continuing to assist mom over the years with her ongoing health challenges to remain in her own home. Especially Mirria, Emily, Siobhan & Elizabeth who all showed exceptional care and compassion throughout the years.
Respecting mom's wishes, there will be no viewing or funeral. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
Donations made in mom's memory can be made to a charity of choice or a simple act of kindness throughout your day.
