Obituary of Vernon Peter Carrigan

Vernon Peter Carrigan, 88, formally of Westville, passed away on Monday, November 3, in Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow.

Born on January 27, 1937, he was a son of the late Ronald and Viola (Garvin) Carrigan.

Vernon worked with special needs children and prior to retirement had been a counselor with the former Pictou Detox. He enjoyed reading books and listening to Broadway musicals.

Vernon is survived by a brother, Carl Carrigan, New Glasgow, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Besides his parents, Vernon was predeceased by his sisters; Anna Kyle, Barbara Murchant, Theresa Carrigan, Agnes Campbell and Thelma Greene.

There will be no funeral service at Vernon's request. Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 13 from 2-4pm at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville.
