Obituary of Florence Estelle Colburne

COLBOURNE, FLORENCE ESTELLE passed away peacefully, with her loving family at her side with the love of her family in her heart on November 7, 2025.

Devoted wife to Gerald Colbourne. Beloved mother of Rob, Kim and Michael Colbourne. Proud grandmother to Celine and Robert Colbourne, Joe, Bridget and Brad Boudreau, and Andrew, Rose and Patrick Colbourne. Daughters-in-law, Florence Colbourne and Jeanine Colbourne. Son-in-law, Charlie Boudreau. She will be greatly missed by her family, caregivers, neighbours and friends.

Florence was a devoted Catholic and was a minister of the Eucharist at St. Rose of Lima for many years. She was honored to give her time to the church. She was a very active person her whole life. Her roots in Nova Scotia were deeply important to her. She was the happiest when she knew she was going back to her home in Westville, NS. She loved to laugh and had a great sense of humour. She loved her dog, Ella. They were the best of friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Scarborough General Hospital in memory of Florence will be greatly appreciated by the family.

Our family would like to thank her caregivers and doctors, Cecilia and Aurilla Estavillo, Shasha Encinares, Nikki Maharjan, Ruchi Shiwakoti, Dr. Victor Lowe, Dr. Mike Borchuk, Nurse Paula and Dr. Donna Vlahos; her friends, Kathy Miller, Celine Di Nova and Marjorie Hunter and her neighbours, Rabindra Ramdeen and family and Kevil Bulovs. A special thank you to Bridget and Joe Boudreau for the special care they provided to their grandmother. The family would like to thank Arbor Memorial Services Inc. as well.
