Obituary of Kathleen (Craig) Weaver
Kathleen (Craig) Weaver, 96, of Pictou Road in Valley, formerly of Westville, passed away Wednesday November 19 at the Colchester Regional Hospital in Truro. Born in Westville, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Mary (Johnstone) Craig.
Mom left Westville at the age of 18 and worked in Happy Valley Goose Bay as a telephone operator at the Canadian Airforce Base. She then moved to Toronto and worked at the Royal York Hotel as a switchboard operator. While in Toronto, she met her husband, Donald Weaver. After living in BC, they moved back to live in Trenton, Pictou County.
Kathleen is survived by daughters Ann Kerr, Mary (Ron) Mullins; daughter-in-law Patsy Weaver; grandchildren Dawn Marie Kerr, Joann (Mike) Henderson, Keith (Tracey) Mullins, Shawn (Liz) Mullins, John Mitchell and Carolann Mitchell; several great-grandchildren; sister Geraldine Forbes; sister-in-law Marjorie Craig;and nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents and her husband Donald; son Tony Weaver; son-in-law Fred Kerr; sisters Dorothy Narin and Jean Lucas; brother Raymond Craig; brother-in-law Walter Forbes Kimball Lucas and John Narin.
Cremation has taken place. At her request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A family internment will be held on Monday, November 24 at 11am in the Auburn Cemetery
