Obituary of Betty Elaine LeClair
We, the family of the late Betty Elaine (Joyce) LeClair are deeply saddened to announce her passing on December 25, 2025.
Betty was born on June 27, 1940 and raised in New Glasgow, Pictou County. She was the daughter of the late Jennie and Frank Joyce.
She had a career with Bell Aliant as an engineer and worked there until her retirement. Betty was a woman of many talents, she loved working with stain glass, painting, travelling; she enjoyed training her dogs and showing them at the dog shows. Betty also enjoyed making jewelry, she loved going to the farmers market to display her items and seeing people who purchased her jewelry and love it as much as she did.
Betty was a special, sweet woman to everyone and will be greatly missed by all whom had the opportunity to get to know her.
Betty is survived by her nephew, Shane Wadden.
She was predeceased by her parent’s, Frank and Jenny Joyce; sister, Myrna Wadden, and her husband, David LeClair.
The family would like to say a special thank you to her cousin, Paula Rogers; longtime friend, Donnie Boudreau; the staff at Glen Haven Manor, her care givers Tresea Roy, Cindy Roy, Michelle Read, Sylvia Mallory.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Eagles Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 31 from 1:00 pm to 1:45 pm with her memorial service to follow at 2:00 pm from Eagles Funeral Home Chapel, Westville.
