Robert Allister Silver (1936 - 2026)

Robert Allister Silver, a beloved father, grandfather and devoted husband, passed away peacefully on January 13th at the age of 89 surrounded by his loving daughter Carol.

Allister was born on April 23,1936 in Mt William, NS. Allister was known for his quiet strength, quick wit, unwatering integrity and deep love for this family that shaped every aspect of his life.

Allister graduated Westville High and later pursued a career in the Forces - Royal Canadian Air Force, laying the foundation for a dedicated career as a Plaster for over 50 years, where his passion for getting the job done right was highly valued.

Beyond his professional life Allister was passionate about hockey, fishing and often sharing stories with his Children Deborah, Carol and Blair.

He was predeceased in death by his parents William B and Margaret Jean (Watters), Allister came from a family of 5 brothers and 5 sisters, one remaining Joan Ferguson. Also predeceased in death by his wife Ruth Anna Cameron of 42 years, Also predeceased his oldster daughter, Deborah Ann Campbell.

Survived by his children Carol Silver and Blair Silver along with his 5 Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren.

A graveside service to celebrate Allister's life will be held by the family at a later date. In Lieu of flowers the family request donates be made to Palliative Care in his memory.

His legacy of hard work, kindness and enduring love will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew him. Thank you to everyone for your thoughts and prayers for the Silver Family.
