May was a longtime resident of Stellarton and was a faithful member of Sharon St. John United Church. Over the years she taught Sunday School, Explorers and was the treasurer of the Church’s craft group.

She was an avid seamstress and taught night school in Westville sharing her knowledge of sewing, basics to complicated outfits. She was always doing some kind of crafting and sharing with others. Anyone who knew her well knew she was the puzzle queen and she would hook you even if you thought you didn’t like making puzzles.

She was also a big supporter of her late husband with his work in the Church, membership in the Lodges he belonged to, and the Philae Temple Shriners.

Visitation (11:00 a.m.) and Celebration of Life Service (12:00 p.m.) will be held Friday March 20, 2026 at Sharon St. John United Church, Stellarton with Reverend Jun Hyok-Chon presiding. A reception will follow in the church hall. Burial will be in Heatherdale Memorial Gardens at a later date.

Donations in May’s memory can be made to the Sharon St. John United Church.
