Obituary of Jean Elizabeth Rector

It is with sadness we announce the passing of Jean Elizabeth Rector on April 21, 2026.

Born May 28th, 1949, in New Glasgow to the late Marie (Langille) & Eric Wright, Jean and her four children ended up moving to Prince Edward Island where she met the love of her life Ken Hendsbee. They later moved to Ontario in 1990 where she worked at Hymopack in Toronto, then moved back to Trenton in 2005 where she resided until she passed.

Jean is survived by her children Steven (Lori) of Ontario, Tracy (Ronnie) of Halifax, Troy (Ashley) of Trenton; Sisters Anne and Patricia; Grandchildren, Mark, Ronnie, Michelle, Honey, Travis Matthew, Madison, Chloe, Michael; Great Grandchildren Jayda, Kenzie, Lucas, Raya-Jean, Clifford, Madilyn, William, Hannah, Maddie, Sawyer, Finn, Levi, and Luke; Many nieces and nephews; Partner in crime Dawn and best friend Wendy (cousin).

She was predeceased by her son Mark; the love of her life Kenny; sister Honey; brothers Raymond, Jimmy Eric, Allan, Sydney; Nephew Michael; and twins at infancy.

Visitation will be held at Eagles Funeral Home on Sunday, April 26th from 1:00 - 2:00 pm, with funeral service following at 2:00pm with Rev. Gail Murdock officiating.
