To Sharon and family. So sad to hear of John's passing.I have known him for many years and we would meet and have a great chat and catch-up. Not often enough.His Father and my father were great friends,Stellarton folks. John and I were at X together in the sixties. He will be remembered as a true gentleman and all the attributes expressed in these comments are true. Sharon and families,
I got to know John through my parents and, through John and Sharon, many others in the family. We grieve together; but the word that keeps coming back to me is "class." John radiated it, in all aspects of his life; as a businessman, as a family man, and as a friend. His kindness and larger-than-life personality was taken from him, and you all had to live with knowing that, within that troubled frame, was still that wonderful man who brought happiness to everyone who knew him. The stories could fill volumes - I can hear his laugh now - and they live on through you. He now rests, no doubt with a "beverage," and if the Great Beyond could be made "more perfect," it now is. Peace to all.
