Obituary of Shavonne Lees

With broken hearts,

Shavonne was the beloved daughter of Wesley & Sheila Lees. A treasured sister to Katelyn (Bob) & Austin (Kyra).

Shavonne very much believed she was a princess. She lived her life to the fullest; her days were packed with social media, her TV, and her cellphone to keep in constant connection with her family. We often referred to her as our family secretary because she could provide up-to-the-minute details of where everyone was and what they were doing.

Shavonne sent many text messages a day, and it warmed our hearts. Shavonne loved Disney and enjoyed a surprise 30th birthday trip to Disney, along with a cruise. Her favourite band was the Imagination Movers, and she truly believed she would possibly marry Rich. Recently, Shavonne adopted a Reborn Doll, she named her Devin Collins (last name of Rich), and she loved her. Shavonne had a smile that could light up a room and had an enormous sense of humour.

Left to mourn besides her family, maternal grandmother Rose Black, paternal grandfather George Lees, her uncle Rick Lees, her aunt Ora Dixon (Ed), adoring cousins Edmund (Bridgette) and Adam Dixon, as well as extended family.

Shavonne was predeceased by her maternal grandfather, John Black and her paternal grandmother, Lucy Lees.

Shavonne told us daily she loved us, and in her honour, we ask you to tell your loved ones how much you love them.

Thank you to the staff at the Aberdeen Hospital and her VON team. Shavonne always made it clear that she wanted to be home. Thank you for the amazing care from her doctors, especially Dr. Jeans.

Shavonne’s life was a blessing, her memory a treasure; she is loved beyond words and missed beyond measure. Shavonne will be forever missed.
