Obituary of Ocenia Norris
It is with much love and sadness we announce the passing of Florence “Ocenia” Norris of Saltsprings on Jan 1st 2024 at the age of 84 years.
She was survived by her loving husband of 68 years Charles William Norris and children Linda (Art), Bruce (Debbie), John, Donnie, Kathy (Mike), and Mary as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister and confidant Ellen Lambert, sister Pauline Smith, and brother Robert ( Louann) Roddick , sister-in-law Ruth Roddick, and brother-in-law Richard Norris (Peggy).
She was predeceased by son Russell William and brother Henry Roddick.
Ocenia loved to garden and could rescue any plant we brought her. She loved finding treasures at thrift shops and old glass wherever she could find it. She also could find a four leaf clover on demand.
Ocenia was a private person and in accordance with her wishes there will be no visitation or public funeral. Burial will be at a future date .Many thanks to everyone at palliative care for making sure she was comfortable in her last days.
