Obituary of Edward Wright

Charles "Edward" Wright, 79, of Westville, passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2024 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.  His wife Pat of 53 years,  who he loved with all his heart never left his side.  They were each other’s best friend. They shared a love that lasted a lifetime and will continue through our memories.

Born in New Glasgow of February 26, 1944, he was a son of the late George and Mildred (MacLeod) Wright.

Ed worked for Michelin Tire for over 30 years.

Dad was very proud of his children, he loved us unconditionally. Each of his grandchildren held a special place in his heart, he would take any moment to share with others his pride for them. They loved their Papa with all their hearts.

Dad was up for almost anything. He was always a very hard worker, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, wood working, watching the Blue Jays, feeding the birds, but most of all he loved spending time with family and friends. He loved good company and would share endless stories.  He loved our family get togethers in the garage and would certainly make sure your belly and glass was full. Dad would do anything for his family and we would do anything for him.

He will be sadly missed by his wife Patricia "Pat" (Henderson);  children, Ed (Cathy), Three Brooks;  Marla MacDonald (Chris), Westville;  Blake (Andrea), St. Margaret's Bay;  grandchildren, Melissa; Carson and Max;  Julia and Eva;  brothers Hugh and Calvin;  brothers and sisters in law,  George Henderson, Sheila Shier, Doug Henderson, Bill Henderson(Ann), and Jerry Slaunwhite.

Ed was predeceased by sisters Audrey MacDonald, Betty Slaunwhite and Doreen Wright;  brothers Carl and Alex;  in laws Ed and Stasia Henderson.

His family will receive visitors on Saturday from 6-8 p.m.  His funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday at Eagles Funeral Chapel with Rev. Gail Johnson Murdock officiating .  Donations in his memory may be made to St. Bees Cemetery.

We can only have hope that he was met with a good drink, a favourite Willie  Nelson song and the family and friends that have gone before.

We will miss you immensely and love you always. xoxox
