Obituary of Beth Cunningham

The family is saddened to announce the death of Thelma Elizabeth “Beth” Cunningham, age 66, of Auburn Ave., Stellarton, which occurred on Thursday, August 25, 2016, in the Halifax Infirmary with her family at her side. Born in New Glasgow, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Elizabeth (Stewart) McCoull. Beth worked at various places including Claritone, Heather Motel, MacKay’s Meters, and Ted’s Pizza where she made many friends. She was a loving, generous and kind mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She will be dearly missed by daughter, Connie MacLean and grandsons Tyler and Jamie MacLean; daughter Sheri Cunningham (Allen MacHattie); sister Carole Darroch, brothers Leonard and Ronnie; her partner, Dave MacLean; Dave’s children, Jeff MacLean (Roxanne), Melanie Gosbee (Trevor), David MacLean, Devon MacLean (Kat); Dave’s grandchildren, Halie (who resided with them), Kalen, Logan, Addison, and Emily; birth brother and sisters Wayne Perry, Barbara Allison, Margie Cann, Jerry Munro, Robert Johnson, Diana Fraser; and former husband, Norman Cunningham. She was predeceased by sister Sylvia Diamond and brother Robert “Bobby” McCoull; birth mother, Doris (Clyburn) Perry, and birth brother William “Billy” Perry. There were no visitations at Beth’s request. A public funeral service was held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 30, at Eagles Funeral Chapel, Westville, with Lt. Shawna Goulding officiating. Burial was in Lourdes Cemetery. Family flowers only, donations in her memory may be made to the Salvation Army.
