Obituary of Fraser Doucette

Fraser Edward Payne Doucette, 77, of Westville, passed away on Friday November 4, 2016 at his home. Born in Westville, September 29, 1939, he was a son of the late Stan and Ethel (Fraser) Doucette. Fraser joined the Canadian Military in April 1957 where he served in the 1st Regiment R.C.H.A. Retiring from the military in 1980, he returned to his home town, Westville and worked at Michelin Tire Ltd., Granton until 1995. He was active in sports as a coach with minor baseball and hockey in Oromocto, Petawawa, and enjoyed coaching minor hockey in Westville, especially Midgets and Juniors. He was also an avid golfer. Fraser will be dearly missed by his wife Joan (Firth); daughter Tricia Hoare, Westville; sons, Keith, Halifax; Greg (Sandra), Moncton, NB; and Kevin (Angela), St. Stephen, NB; grand daughters Molly and Abigail Hoare; and sister Jean Plummer, Jacksonville, Florida. He was predeceased by sister Phyllis MacCallum (Lorne) and brother Clarence (Shirley). Special thank you to the Palliative Care Drs. and nurses and the V.O.N. for the special care given to Fraser Fraser rested at Eagles Funeral Home with visiting on Wednesday, Nov. 9. His funeral service was held Thursday Nov. 10, from Eagles Funeral Chapel, Westville with the Rev. Darlene Jewers officiating. Burial took place in Heatherdale Memorial Gardens. Donations in Fraser’s memory may be made to the Palliative Care Society.
