Obituary of Hazel MacNaughton

Hazel Irene MacNaughton, age 90, Westville, passed away May 6, 2010 in Glen Haven Manor, surrounded by family. Born at home on Cowan Street, Westville, December 10, 1919, she was a daughter of the late James and Sarah (Ross) Lauchlan. Hazel was a 50 year member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Westville Legion Br. #35. Hazel enjoyed dancing, curling, bowling, bingo, knitting, and playing cards with her friends. She was a member of St. Paul United Church, Westville. Hazel enjoyed life and had many fond memories of friends and her loving family. Surviving are step-son Robert and wife Donna (Roussy) MacNaughton; grandchildren, Debra (Fred) Davis, Trenton, Catherine (Fred) Fergus, Bible Hill; Linda (Peter) Robertson, Trenton; six great-grandchildren; and one great, great granddaughter. She is also survived by sister-in-law Edna Lauchlan; nephews, Daniel and Lester Lauchlan, Ontario; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 55 years, Robert B. MacNaughton; and brothers, Robert and Lester Lauchlan. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held 1- 1:45 p.m. Tuesday, at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville. Her memorial service will be held 2 o’clock Tuesday at Eagles Funeral Chapel, Westville with Rev. Doug Pilsworth officiating. Burial will be in Auburn Cemetery, Westville. Family flowers only. Donations in her memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
