Obituary of Russell Murchison

Russell Vernon "Duke" Murchison, 42 of Westville passed away on Friday, September 13, 2019 at his home with his loving family by his side.

Born in Halifax, he was a son of Elva (Murphy)Murchison, of Westville and the late Gordon Murchison.

Duke enjoyed animals, especially dogs, and also watching "The Big Bang Theory". He was employed and enjoyed working at Final Touch Party Rentals.

He will be dearly missed by his mother Elva; sister Mary Murchison (Randy Dooley), Westville; brother Stan Murchison (Dora), Priestville; nephews, Jamie, Eldridge, and Stan Jr.; nieces Amanda and Haley; chosen brothers, Shawn, Ryan, and Jason Johnson; and close friends Randy Matheson and Daniel Mitchell.

He was predeceased by his father Gordon and grandparents Russell and Jane Murphy and Gordon and Mary Murchison.

Duke rested at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville with visiting on Monday, September 16,  from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville. His funeral service was held 1 o’clock Tuesday, September 17, from Eagles Funeral Chapel, Westville with Rev. Dr. Glen Matheson officiating. Donations in his memory may be made to his family.
