Obituary of Andrea Livingstone
We sadly announce the death of our Mother, Andrea Margaret Livingstone, age 70, of Westville on Christmas morning at her home with her daughters and grandson by her side.
Born in New Glasgow on June 24, 1949, she was a daughter of the late William “Bill” and Eileen (MacDonald) Dudka, of Stellarton.
She was a loving caring person with great wit. She enjoyed playing cards and bingo was one of her great past times for anyone that knew her. She followed hockey and baseball with a vengeance on TV. The Blue jays being her favorite baseball team. GO JAYS GO! She was also a huge country music fan with Merle Haggard being at the top of her list, where she became known as “The Hag”.
She enjoyed working in the caregiving profession and was dedicated to her clients. She loved to travel and could pack her bags on a moment’s notice, Vegas being on the top of her list.
Her grandchildren were the highlight of her life. She especially enjoyed their hockey games. Her “chosen grandson’s” and their road hockey games at her home. Her kitchen was always filled with sticks and hockey bags. She was known as “Nan” by Brandon’s friends.
She will be dearly missed by her daughters, Becky Holm (Lonnie Eirickson), Lundar, Manitoba; Jennifer Sharpe (Shawn), Westville; son, Kelly (Connie), Alberta; grandchildren, Brandon Livingstone, Jack Holm, Charlee Holm and special friend, Darlene Baker “The old girl down the road”. Andrea is also survived by her brothers, Michael, Halifax, Bill, Ontario; sisters, Patsy Shaw (Carl), Truro, many nieces and nephews and special niece, Erin MacDonald, Port Hawkesbury.
