Obituary of Ronald Anthony Wood

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Ronald Anthony Wood of Westville. Ronald passed away peacefully, with family members by his side, at the Aberdeen Hospital Palliative Care Unit January 16th, after a long and courageous battle with multiple serious illnesses. Born on September 27, 1952, Ronnie was a son of the late William “Bill” and Annie (Dungale) Wood. Ronnie spent much of his life as a long haul trucker, loved working in his shop and had a special passion for motorcycles. Ron lived, loved and worked hard. His greatest joy in later life was spending time with his grandson Lane. He is survived by his wife Lorna (Dooley), his son Jason (Alicia) grandson Lane, sister Lillian MacLeod; brothers John (Leona), and James (Tina); sister-in-law Betty Wood and numerous nieces and nephews. Ronnie was predeceased by his sister Arthene Russell and brothers Arthur, Chester and William “Bill” Wood. Lane says “Papa was a great man and loved his family”' Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or funeral service by request. Donations can be made in memory of Ronnie to a charity of one’s choice.
