Memorial service will be held on Friday, January 31 at 11 o'clock at the Church of the Holy Name, Westville, with Father Peter MacDonald presiding.

Obituary of Patrick Ambrose Duggan

Patrick Ambrose “Paddy” Duggan, 81 Westville, passed away on Monday, January 27, 2020 with family by his side in the Maritime Oddfellows Home, Pictou. Born in New Glasgow on May 24, 1938, he was a son of the late John Dan and Florence (Gladney) Duggan. Paddy worked at the former Hawker Siddley and retired from Chignecto Regional School Board. His greatest love was his family but especially his grandchildren. He was a member of the Westville Fire Department for many years. He loved his music (piano and fiddle being favorites) he couldn’t wait to prank you, scare you, anything for a big hearty laugh. Montreal Canadians have lost their biggest fan-he so loved his hockey or any sport. Paddy is survived by his wife of 58 years, Isabel (Manning), children, David (Stephanie), Lois (Delbert) Brown, Cyril (Sheri); Audrey(Kenny) Crews and Richard “Doc” (Trish), grandchildren, Nicole (Eric )MacPherson, Michael Crews, Catie and Greg Brown, Hilary and Patrick Duggan, Matthew Kenny, Brandon MacDonald, Shona and Megan Duggan, step grandchildren, Tori, Trevor and Andrew Bartlett; great grandchildren, Nate MacPherson and Lucas Kenny, sisters, Florence Marshall “Sis” (Albert) and Joan MacEachern (Barry), sister in-laws; Dorothy “Dot” Duggan, Rosalind MacDonald and Jean Fleet (Ervin ), brother in-laws; Richard Norris (Peggy) and Roddy Manning (Betty). Besides his parents, Paddy was predeceased by brothers, Jack Duggan and Wayne MacDonald. His family will receive visitors on Thursday, January 30 from 2-4 and 7-9pm at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville. His memorial service will be held on Friday, January 31 at 11 o'clock from The Church of the Holy Name, Westville, with Father Peter MacDonald presiding.
