Obituary of Joan Jackson

Joan Marilyn Jackson, age 73 of Central West River, formally of the Garden of Eden, passed away on Friday, January 31, 2020 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in Glace Bay, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Catherine (MacDonald) Kelloway. Joan had been employed with Glen Haven Manor for 18 years as a PCW. She enjoyed playing bingo at Legends in Truro, however her greatest love was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by her daughter, Darlene Rundle (Eddie), sons, Geuard Kelloway (Carol), Vernon Jackson (Vicki) and John Jackson (Lori); 17 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren; brother, John James Kelloway; sisters in-law, Katherine “Doll” Betts, Pearl Blackwood and brother in-law, Charles “Buck” Jackson. She was predeceased by her husband, Silas “Deacon” Jackson. Visitation will be held today, Monday, February 3, from 2-4 and 7-9pm at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville, from where her memorial service will be held on 11 am Tuesday, February 4 with Father Peter MacDonald presiding. Spring interment will be in St. Bee’s Cemetery, Westville
