Obituary of Viola Muir
Viola May Muir, 91, Duff Street, Westville passed away on Thursday, May 20, 2010 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in Pictou, on March 28, 1919 she was a daughter of the late Roy and Annie (Roach) Cantley.
She lived her married life in Westville and was a former member of the C.W.L. and a weekly card club. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Mrs. Muir survived by daughters , Joan (Steve) Whytewood , Westville; Marlene Lawrence, Abercrombie; sons Dougie (Margaret), Edmonton; Bob (Roxanne), St. Catharines, Ont.; Dale, at home; daughter in law, Sue Muir, Granton.; 14 grand children and 30 grand children. She loved them all and was loved by all who knew her.
She was predeceased by her husband, Michael; sons Rollie and Wayne; son-in-law Fraser Lawrence; grand daughter Donna Lawrence; sister Dorothy (Ern) Kenny; and brothers Roy (Theresa) Cantley, Doug (Gerry) Cantley and David Cantley
Cremation has taken place. Her memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Monday rom Eagles Funeral Chapel, Westville with Father Donald Boudreau officiating. Burial will be in the Auburn Cemetery, Westville. Donations in his memory may be made to the Canadian Diabetic Association
