Obituary of Blaine MacNeill

Blaine MacNeill, 53, Munro Street, Westville, passed away on Thursday, May 27, 2010 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow, with his family by his side. Born in New Glasgow, Blaine was a son of Mrs. Anne (Gillis) MacNeill, and the late Marshall MacNeill. Blaine grew up in Westville. He was an employee of the C.N.R. and later Cape Breton and Central Nova Scotia Railway as a brakeman, driver and engineer. Blaine was a very quiet and reserved person whose great enjoyment was spending time with his son Marshall. Besides his mother, he will be sadly missed by his son Marshall; special step-daughter Jennifer MacDonald; sisters, Marsha Wong (Will), Antigonish, Marilyn MacNeill, Annapolis Valley, Carla Carlos (Mike), New Glasgow; brother Jim (Mona), New Minas; and several close nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. Family will receive visitors on Saturday from 7-9 p.m. at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville. A private family service will be held Sunday at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville. No flowers by request. Donations in his memory may be made to the Nova Scotia Heart & Stroke Foundation or a charity of one’s choice
