Obituary of Betty Davidson

Betty Mae Davidson, age 87, of Westville, formerly of Sylvester, passed on Monday, May 18, 2020 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow, with her son and daughter by her side. Born in Pictou, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Ethel (Corkum) Deagle of Sylvester. Betty was a resident of Glen Haven Manor for the past 5 years. Having a strong faith, she was a devoted member of the Westville Salvation Army Corps. She was a member of the Home League and worked and worked at the Thrift Store in her earlier years. Betty was always wanting to help people and put others before herself. She had a cup of tea and a biscuit for you before you left her house. She will be dearly missed by her children, Raymond Davidson (Pat), Hamilton, Ont.; Mary Donnelly, Westville; Ronnie Davidson (Louise Sweeney), Scotch Hill; Connie MacPhee (Roddie), Pictou; Steven Davidson (BJ), Pictou; John Davidson, Westville; Kenneth Davidson, Lower Sackville; daughter in law Shelley Deagle, New Glasgow; grandchildren, Lynn, Bruce, Crystal, Amanda and Melanie; Shania and Shawna; Jenny, Sarah, Matthew and Jeremy; Chrissy and Kimberley; Tracey and Samantha; Ashton, Harley and Lacey; 16 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by sister Beverley Attrich, Dundas, Ont., and sister in law Shirley Davidson, Three Brooks. She was predeceased by her husband Henry Davidson; son Donald Deagle; son in law Willie Mabey; daughter in law Kathy Davidson; and sister Miriam. Private family visitations will be held followed by a private grave side service at Heatherdale Memorial Gardens. A public memorial service may be held at a later time.
