Obituary of Eyleen MacLeod
Blanche “Eyleen” MacLeod, of Bible Hill, formerly of Westville, passed away June 01, 2020 at the Colchester East Hants Regional Hospital.
Born in Denmark, NS, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Annie (Watson) Higgins.
Eyleen and her husband Theodore owned and operated MacLeod’s Restaurant in Westville, NS for 40 years. In their retirement they settled in Lyons Brook, Pictou County. Eyleen had a full life, filled with many years of giving to her community and family; she was a member of the United Church of Canada, Order of the Eastern Star where she was the treasurer of the Westville chapter for 35 years. She was a member of the Women’s Institute and proudly supported the Progressive Conservative Party; a true Tory through and through.
She is survived by daughter Jennifer, Dartmouth; grandchildren, George Rennison (Andrea), Truro, Rebecca Rennison, Valley and Jane Broomfield (Moses), Lantz; great-grandsons, Her Shining Star Ryder Rennison, Truro, Ryan Andersen, Nain, NL, Borden and Cooper Broomfield, Lantz; as well as her brothers, Borden Higgins, Ormond Beach, FL and Curtis (Geraldine) Higgins, Burlington, ON.
Eyleen was predeceased by husband Theodore MacLeod and siblings, Charles, Robert, Harold, Rebecca, Wilena, Dorothy, Lyla and Jaye.
