Obituary of John James Darroch

The death of John James Darroch, 68, of MacLellan’s Brook, formerly of Westville, occurred suddenly on Wednesday, June 24 at his home. Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of the late John and Jean (Miller) Darroch, Westville. John was a truck driver for most of his life, working for several companies. In the last few years he worked for Carl Graham Trucking until retirement. In his early years, he enjoyed hunting and sport fishing, especially with his brother in law Henry. He will be dearly missed by his wife Linda (Decoff); daughter Krista, Stellarton ; and son John (Natasha), MacLellan’s Brook. John was a proud grandfather to Mason, Brooke, Katie, Maddie and Ali. He is also survived by sisters Viola Richards (Curtis), Belleville, Ont; Audrey Reid (Dennis), Westville; brother Garfield (Ann), New Glasgow; and many nieces and nephews. John was predeceased by sisters Gloria Arkens (Henry) and Joan MacNeil (Terry). There will be no public visitations or funeral service.
