Ann
What an incredible obituary and video tribute for an incredible man. Bill was a man that accomplished much during his life and left a positive, long lasting impact on many, myself included. We consider ourselves fortunate to have met Bill many years back when we moved into that little yellow house on LaPierre. The ''Chief'' was always willing to give me his strong opinions on a wide range of political topics as well as sound lawn care and car maintenance advise whether solicited or not. Me and Natasha have many fond memories of our time as friends and neighbour's. We think of you two often. May you find peace as Bill finds his eternal rest after a life well lived.
Love
Natasha, Dwayne, Garret and Marissa

I was very saddened to hear of the death of Bill Henderson. Although we did not see
much of each other in recent years, I have good memories of Bill as we lived on the
same street as teenagers in Chatlottetown. We joined the RCAF together in 1953.
May he rest in peace. My condolence to the family.

Great tribute Ann to your Bill! I have many great memories of Bill on PEI visiting Ralph and family. I liked his dry Henderson humour...I hope Bill, Deanie and Ralph are having a fabulous reunion ..
Hugs to you and your family

Bill was very generous in sharing stories of his adventures but the one that stands out to me is about his first posting in the RCAF. Bill was very fortunate to be posted to Rockcliffe, Ottawa, as his first posting in the early 1950's. The squadron he was assigned to was engaged in the project to map Canada's arctic regions, in part as a precursor to the construction of the DEW line. This required him, during the summer months, to work at many isolated forward support airfields, including Hall Beach, NWT and Churchill, MB. His duties were to service and repair the mapping and charting aircraft in these remote regions but local bush pilots also often sought his, and his fellow technician's expertise. Bill remarked that this gave him the chance "to work on something different and get a few dollars as a thank you", but I believe it was just in him to always help someone out.
