Obituary of David Conrad Graham

It is with great sadness the family of David Conrad Graham, 38 years, Westville, formerly of Digby, N.S. announces his death on Sunday, May 30, 2010. Born in Digby, June 12, 1971, David was the son of Linda (neeBaker) Small (Terry), Smith’s Cove, and Conrad David Graham, Waterford, NS; stepson of Cindy Graham, Lake Midway and foster son of Jackie and David Saben, Moschelle, Annapolis Co. David attended Digby Elementary School and graduated from A.W.E.C. School, Annapolis Valley and the Nova Scotia Community College in Middleton. David worked for K.F.C., I.C.T. and worked at Walmart for the past four years as an overnight support manager. David will be remembered by all who knew him as a good friend, one who enjoyed tinkering and repairing things, listening to his favourite music, playing cards, doing yard work, swimming, going for walks with his pet dog Charlie and with Babs his cat who always followed him. He was an avid cook and was well known for his "hot" spaghetti and chili. Besides his parents, David leaves to mourn his partner of eighteen years, Jimmie Linthorne; his Westville family, Carol Gammell and the Hamiltons; sisters, Karen Farris and Tammy Graham, Digby; and also half brother Conrad Conrad Graham, Waterford and half sisters Georgia Graham, Digby and Carolyn Graham, Waterford; grandmother Marion Baker, Gulliver’s Cove. Also surviving are his beloved foster parents with whom he resided and foster sisters, Jennifer, Sheralyn, and Nicole Saben. David was predeceased by his maternal grandfather Franklin Baker and paternal grandparents Laurence and Rita Graham. Visitations will be held from 12:30- 1:45 p.m. Thursday at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville where his funeral service will be held 2 o’clock Thursday with Rev. Doug Pilsworth officiating. Burial will be in the Auburn Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations in David’s memory may be made to the S.P.C.A. or the Nova Scotia Heart Association, or the food bank.
