A outdoor funeral service will take place 2o'clock Saturday, July 8 at Birch Hill Cemetery. Masks are required. Please bring a lawn chair if possible

Obituary of Shane Marshall

The death of Shane Douglas Marshall, 62 of White Hill occurred unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday evening, August 4, 2020. Born in New Glasgow on July 30, 1958, he is the son of Douglas and Cline (Hayter) Marshall, White Hill. Shane was self employed, operating his own trucking business and was also a plow operator for the Department of Transportation for many years. Shane was a handy man and had the ability of tackling many ventures in throughout his career. Shane had a fondness for animals, which showed in his love of being a farrier for hire as well as for his own horses. He was a car enthusiast and spent many weekends at the track or in the garage with his mustang. He also loved music and could be seen often strumming his guitar or playing piano. He was a 20 year member of the Alma Fire Department. He was baptised at and attended Middle River Presbyterian church A dedicated family man, he was a loving son, husband, father, grand father, and great grandfather Shane will be sadly missed by his parents, wife, Karen (Smith); sons Mike Marshall (Melissa), White Hill; Nathan Marshall (Erica), Rocklin and Daniel Marshall (Allison), White Hill; grand children, Emma, Jayden and Katie Marshall, Kelsey MacKay, Clayton MacKay and Harmony Marshall; great grandson Reign Dudka; sister inlaws, Linda Hogan, and Dianne Smith; niece and nephews Gordie, Bryan, Lindsey, and Randi; along with many cousins, family and friends. Shane is resting at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville. There will be no visitations. A public funeral service will take place on Saturday a 2 o’clock at the Birch Hill Cemetery, Rocklin with Rev. Bonnie Langille officiating. If attending, please wear a mask bring a lawn chair if possible. www.eaglesfuneralhome.ca
