Obituary of Thomas Baillie
Thomas Richardson Baillie, 63, West River Station, Pictou County passed on Monday, June 7, 2010 at his home, after a brief illness.
Born on February 18, 1947, he was a son of the late George and Florence (MacDonald) Baillie.
Tom lived in West River Station most of his life with the exception of 7 years he served in the Royal Canadian Army. He was well known in fur trading and was a former employee of North Bay Fur Co. He enjoyed prospecting and was working for Azure Resources. Tom had a great concern for family who were very dear to him.
He will be sadly missed by his wife Brenda (Gower); daughter Marie Baillie, White Rock, B.C. ; son Thomas Baillie (Jody), North Bay, Ont. ; 2 grandsons Isaiah, Samuel ; sister Elizabeth Smith (James), West River Station and several nieces and nephews.
Tom was predeceased by an infant sister Audrey.
Visitations will be held 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm Wednesday at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville. His funeral service will be held 2 o’clock Thursday from the Christian Fellowship Church, New Glasgow with Rev. Bruce Morrison and Pastor Helen Christie officiating. Burial will be in Hill Cemetery, West River Station.
