Obituary of Ross Mitton

Ross Mitton, 61, of Westville, died peacefully on August 21, 2020 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Ross was born on July 8, 1959, in Gatineau, Quebec, to Spurge (Walter) Mitton and the late Mary Louise Mitton. He is survived by his wife Linda Marilyn; sons Derek (partner Nathalie and her children Bucky and Nikki), Kingston, Ont.; and Corey (his partner Ashley and their son Ryder), Barrie, Ont. Besides his mother he was pre-deceased by his twin brother Ricky Stephen Mitton. Ross had 23 years with the Canadian Armed Forces and 12 years with the Reserves in Pictou. After retiring from the military he was employed with Stone’s R.V. in New Glasgow. In his earlier years he enjoyed golfing. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of his life will follow at a later date. Donations in his memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
