Obituary of Isabel Ingarfield

Isabel A. (Druhan) Ingarfield, Halifax formerly of Westville, passed away on June 19, 2010 at the QE11, Halifax. Born in Westville, Pictou County, May 12, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Catherine (Chisholm) and Patrick Druhan. Educated in Westville, she completed her business education in New Glasgow. She was employed with the Department of Highways, Nova Scotia; Social Services, Antigonish; and retired from the Legislative Library, Province House, Halifax. A member of St. Agnes Catholic Church, Mumford Road, she was also an active member of St. Vincent de Paul Society and generous with her time in other church activities. She is survived by her brother, Jerry ( Inge), Beaconsfield, Quebec; sister, Mercedes (Edward) OReilly. Hopewell, Pictou County. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, William (Bill) Ingarfield, brothers James, John, Lonnie Druhan and two in infancy; sisters, May Shepard, Kay Herzog and one in infancy. Visitation will be held Monday, June 21 from J.A.Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewwod Drive from 6-8 PM and again Tuesday, June 22, from 7-9 PM in Eagles Funeral Home, 1611 North Main Street, Westville. Funeral Service will be Wednesday, June 23 at 11AM from Holy Name Church, Main Street, Westville, with burial to follow in Church Cemetery. Reception at Holy Name Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Vincent de Paul or Bide Awhile Animal Shelter
