Obituary of Margaret Horne

It is with sadness we announce the death of our mother and grand mother, Margaret Jenetta Horne, 94 on Friday, February 26, 2021.

Margaret was born on December 4, 1926, a daughter of the late Joseph and Sarah "Sadie" (Kennedy) Cyr.

Mom was very devoted to her faith. She was a member of the Holy Name Church, Westville and a life member of the Holy Name Catholic Women’s League (CWL). Through the C.W.L., she participated in many fund raises for those in need.

With her generous and kind nature, she became "Nanna Horne" to many of the young people that came to know her. She always loved and protected her loved ones that only a mother’s and grand mother’s love can do. Mom was extremely proud of her family and always encouraged them to do their best.

She will be dearly missed by her daughter, Priscella Stewart (Wayne McCulloch), Scotsburn; daughter-in-law Faye Horne, Westville; grand children, Danny Stewart, April Duffy, and Mikayla Wong; Gregory, Jeffery, Jeremy and Joshua Horne; and Michael Horne. 20 great grand children and 1 great great grand child; brother Gilbert "Gibby" Cyr (Sheryl) Durham; and sister-in-law Linda Cyr, Trenton. Her family will take great comfort in knowing she will be watching over us from Heaven.

Margaret was predeceased by her husband Joseph;  sons Gregory and Gerard, three infant daughters; daughter-in-law Theresa Horne; grand son Jamie;  infant great grand daughter Natalie; sisters Betty MacKinnon and Evangeline Cyr and brother Gordon Cyr.

Thank you to the Dr. Kwasnik, the Palliative Care Nurses and to her guardian angel, Michelle Lewis.
