Obituary of Hughie Hale

It is with deep sadness his family announces the sudden passing of Hugh William Hale, North Street, Westville on July 2nd , 2010 at home at age 59. Born in New Glasgow on August 14, 1950, he was the youngest son of the late Cecil and Ethel (Wadden) Hale of Westville. Hughie is survived by his wife and soul mate of 34 years Mary Anita (Dunn) Hale, sons: Hugh Jr., Calgary; Mark(Katie), Prespatou. B.C.; and Michael (Natalie Murray), Red Deer. He is also survived by his sister Lois Arnold (Gerry), Bedford; and brothers Struan (Beverly) ,Truro; Clarrie ( Pat), Miramichi, N.B.; sister in law Anne Hale Stewart; mother in law Mary Dunn and uncle Struan Wadden and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his brother Arthur. Hughie was employed for many years with the C.N.R. He later operated his own trucking business until a heart condition forced his retirement. Hughie coached hockey and ball. He was a die hard Chicago Black Hawks fan. Hughie will be greatly missed by his best friend Mary Anita and Sons, his family, and his many many friends. Rest in peace. Loved forever. Visitations will be held 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Monday at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville. His funeral will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. from the Church of The Holy Name, Westville with Fr. Evo Dipiero officiating. Donations in his memory may be made the Nova Scotia Heart and Stroke Foundation.
