Obituary of Sharon Ward

We sadly announce the death of our mother and grandmother, Sharon Ann Ward, age 72, of West River Station which occurred at her home early Friday morning, March 12, 2021.

Born in Sydney, on January 16, 1949, she is a daughter of Loretta (Cordeau) McDonald of d’escousse and the late Irvin McDonald.

Sharon was a personal care worker for several years and later worked at Michelin Tire with Dave Shannon Commercial Cleaning.

She was a loving mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed by her children Bryan (Alicia), Westville; Cindy Degaust, West River Station; Geraldine, Winnipeg; Glen (Andrea), Maine; Cecil (Joe MacKinnon), Sydney; Paul, Edmonton; grandchildren, Kyle, Felicity, and Katie; Brittany, Bailey, and Aidan; Shaylene and Jacob; Cory, Melanie, Rebecca, Makayla, Riley, Raven, Madison, and A.J.; Joshua, Sarah, Olivia, and Samuel. She is also survived by her mother Loretta; brother Robert "Bobby" McDonald (Ronalda), Edmonton; sisters, Diane and Raylene McDonald, d’escousse and life long friend Marina Oursen, Sydney.

She was predeceased by her father Irvin and her husband Gerald "Gerry".

A public funeral service for Sharon will be held 11 am Wednesday July 13, 2022 from Eagles Funeral Chapel.
