Obituary of Alberta DeBruyn

She was born May 31, 1929 in the Netherlands, immigrated to America in 1950 and came to Pictou County in 1972. To say she was a ray of sunshine doesn’t do her justice. She extended a warm welcome, affection and life long friendships to all who crossed her path. She had a generous spirit and was ready to lend a helping hand. She was a talented artist who enjoyed painting scenes from her childhood, landscapes, and local beauty. Beppie enjoyed playing the organ and later keyboard. She was was an avid bridge player and animal lover, always having a dog or cat by her side.  She recently celebrated her 92nd birthday. She cherished everyday and lived life to the fullest, grateful for all her blessings.

Beppie is survived by her three children: Ron (Sherry), Helen, Dick (Glenda), 10 grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 62 yrs, Jerry and her sister, Topie

The family appreciated the services of VON that enabled her to stay home in her final days.
