Obituary of John Jardine

We are sad to announce the passing of our husband and father John Samuel Jardine, 69, of Union Centre, Pictou County, NS with his family by his side on July 17, 2021.

Born in New Glasgow on September 18, 1951, he was a son of the late Murray and Dorothy (Cameron) Jardine, Union Centre.

John worked at Michelin for 32 years retiring in 2006.  He also operated his own network marketing business for several years.  He was a member of Middle River Presbyterian Church where he sang in the church choir.  John liked keeping busy and was dedicated to taking care of his property. His wood pile was the envy of many.  He was also an avid Chicago Black Hawks fan and loved watching a good hockey game.

John was larger than life, having an amazing fighting spirit, he had a positive outlook right to the end.  He always had a smile and always saw the good in life and encouraged people in all they did and had a way in making people feel better.  A great friend to all.

He will be dearly missed by his wife of 49 years Wendy (Morris); daughter Tracy Jardine (Shane MacKinnon); sister Isabel Fancy (Barry), Union Centre; brother Ken (Nancy) Union Centre; sisters and brothers-in -law,  Nancy Marshall (David), Rocklin;   Roy Morris (Marie), Donna Morris, and Ron Morris (Charlene), all in Ontario.  He also leaves behind his 2 feline children, Kahlua and Fluffy who will miss him dearly.

To all the doctors and nurses at the Aberdeen hospital and Halifax infirmary for their wonderful care, thank you.

He was predeceased by his sons Jason and Jamie; brothers Glen and Jim Jardine.
