Obituary of Rose Green

It is with sad hearts that we announce the passing of Edith Rosemary “Rose” Green on Sept. 26, 2021 at Riverview Adult Residential Center surrounded by those who dearly loved her.

Born in New Glasgow on Dec. 12, 1963 she was the daughter of Donald and the late Ruth (Jamieson) Green.

In Rose’s earlier years she enjoyed participating track and field in Special Olympics and retired from Summer Street Industries.  Rose enjoyed shopping and wearing her many jewels when Rose wasn’t spending time in her much loved craft room she could be found typing away and preparing the next Newsletter that she was so proud of.

Surviving besides her father Donald are brothers Allan (Judy) Green, David (Sheila) Green, and sisters Elizabeth (Wayne) Morris and Ethel (Paul) Baillie.  Rose was predeceased by mother Ruth and sister Debbie Crockett.

A public visitation will be held at Eagles Funeral Home Westville from 6-8 PM Wednesday Sept. 29th. Masks are required.  Her funeral service officiated by Rev. Dr. Glen Matheson will be held on Thursday Sept. 30th at 2 pm.at the Funeral Home.   Due to COVID protocol to attend the funeral please register by calling Eagles Funeral Home at 902-396-4144. Rose’s family would like to thank the staff at Riverview home for the exceptional care Rose received and for the many kindnesses shown to us in her final days, we will be forever grateful.
