Obituary of Sandy Pitts

It is with profound sadness we announce the death of Joseph Alexander “Sandy” Pitts, 55, formerly of Munroe Avenue Extension, on Thursday, November 18, 2021 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow, with his family by his side.

Born in New Glasgow on July 9 1966, he was a son of Jean (LeFresne) Pitts and the late John Pitts.

Sandy was an autobody repairman by trade working with his father operating John Pitts & Sons Autobody. Sandy enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting. He had a great interest in restoring older cars and enjoyed drag races, racing himself in earlier years.

He will be sadly missed by his mother, Jean; brothers, Robert, David (Teresa); nephews Christopher and Jacob as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Special thank you to Dr. O’Sullivan, Dr. Jeyakumar, Dr. Craig, and all the special nurses at the Chemo Clinic. Also a thank you to Dr. Farrell and Dr. Kwasnik and all the nurses in the Palliative Care Unit. Your kindness and care will always be with us. God Bless.

There will be no public visitations or funeral service. A family gathering will take place at Eagles Funeral Home. Those attending are required to show Proof of Vaccines and ID and masks are mandatory. A private grave side service will be held at Lourdes Cemetery.
