Obituary of Vincent Currie
On December 18, 2021, Vincent William Gerard Currie, age 41, passed away peacefully at the Victoria General Hospital in Halifax.
Vincent most recently resided in Stellarton, NS. He was a son of the late Catherine Cecilia Currie, Westville, and the late Gerard Currie, Sydney.
Vincent is survived by his partner, Ashley Pembleton, his best friend, “Big Murph”, stepmother, Kaye Currie, Sydney, sister, Aundrea Currie (Chris Thomson), Truro, sister Seanna Colburne (Shawn), Westville, brother Michael Currie (Amy), Eastern Passage, sister Nicole Frazee (Shawn), New Glasgow. Vincent is also survived by nieces, Emma, Paige, Peyton and Tess, and nephew, Lane.
Vincent will be remembered for his off-beat sense of humor, quick wit, and generous heart. He had a love for music and was a spirited dancer. He truly loved a good laugh and had a great one himself. He had a way of commanding a room. As a child you could find Vincent reading encyclopedias for fun. He always had an interest in learning new things and was very proud of his completion of the Welding Inspection program. Vincent had a kind soul, and his final act of kindness was the gift of organ donation.
Many thanks go out to staff with the Aberdeen Hospital Emergency Department and ICU, Halifax Infirmary ICU, Victoria General ICU, and the organ donation coordinators with the Nova Scotia Organ Donation Program.
Vincent was a strong supporter of the kindness and generosity of the Salvation Army. Donations may be made in Vincent’s memory to this organization https://salvationarmy.ca/donations/.
Vincent is resting at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville. There will be no visitation.
